August | Home & Harvest
We share the inspiration behind our latest collection. At the crossroads of summer and autumn, Cornwall’s landscape is rich with crop and colour. We celebrate the harvest with tumbling florals and ripe accents.
The richness and variety of the late-summer garden is enhanced by the warm, August ambers of squashes and nasturtiums.

Gardening workwear influences versatile pieces with twill textures and easy shapes. We'll pair these with effortless dresses and elevated tops, adding a vibrant Fair Isle if there’s a hint of autumn in the air.
Inspired by the turning season, each piece has been made to be loved, layered and reimagined.

From the Sketchbook
Back in the studio, our designers create a rich crop of prints. Colours come from the fresh emeralds of clambering peas with their bright, juicy pods.

I wanted this print to have a winding feeling to it, giving the sense of growing. I painted it with gouache, to give the print a hand-rendered feel.
Late-season flowers mingle with the harvest, and Lucy also turned to blooms for her print designs. Our new Pressed Pansies pattern captures the delicate look of preserved flowers, gently layered between the pages of old books.
Pair these prints with our confident August palette, where fig and echium shades complement golden and hedgerow tones.

I particularly like the shape of pansies when pressed and was trying to capture the way the petals press against the paper and how they overlay each other preserving the shape and colours.

This season’s outfits combine freshly picked shades. Pair vivid pea-green with more muted sage and refreshing minty colours, creating playful looks that build on the lushness of the harvest season.
Our favourite seasonal outfit begins with a check. This new bold check is inspired by the panes of glass on greenhouses that catch the late summer light, and the way the greenhouse frames create shadows across the panes of glass.

We love this worn with deep denim or a neutral jean. Choose crisp white, acorn and green shhttps://www.seasaltcornwall.com/clothing/shirts-blousesirts and knits to call out the check's accents. Shirts make lightweight extra layers or add a knitted vest for texture and a touch of warmth.
You’ll find these harvest-inspired colours and prints in our New Collection. Look out for considered layers and versatile pieces in spiced late-summer shades.
