The Autumn Dress Edit
A closer look behind the design of four gorgeous dresses from our autumn collection.

Meet the dresses made for autumn. As the weather starts to turn, we’re reaching for longer sleeves, warmer textures and transitional styles that layer from now to the new year.
In the studio, our designers, stylists and garment technologists have collaborated on every silhouette, thoughtfully considering every detail from first sketch to fit test. Designed to be loved wherever and forever, this year’s pieces combine effortless colour and artist-illustrated prints. Made with responsibly sourced fabrics in fits that feel as good as they look, we spoke to the team behind this year’s designs to take a closer look at four of our favourite dresses.

FITTED BY HELEN & KATIE
“We were mindful to develop a style that is easy-to-wear and versatile, and imagined it being worn with boots and tights on busy winter days, or dressed up with heels for parties. We wanted the waistline to fall at the exact right point for the most comfortable, and flattering, shape.”
DESIGNED BY ALEX
“This was made to have a year-round silhouette – it’s easy to throw on and go, or to layer up on cooler days. The centre seam is the thing that makes it super-flattering, and the tiers are asymmetric to give it a more contemporary feel.”

STYLED BY ALEX
“We love cord, we love a shirt dress, so this is a real Seasalt signature for autumn/winter. It’s the balance that makes it a classic: the structure and utility feel of the organic cotton cord, the feminine details, the richness of the print. At this time of year, I like to style dresses with a tonal pair of tights and a roll-neck top that pull out colours from the print. It’s an effortless way to bring the look together for a modern feel.”
DESIGNED BY JESS
“The inspiration for this dress is vintage fashion. I have a dress from the 70s that makes me feel so feminine and confident, and I’m obsessed with the construction: little details like blouson sleeves and a gathered waist that accentuate and soften the figure.”
