The Making of Seasalt Circular | Creative Circularity

Creative Circularity is our initiative to generate less waste in the lifecycle of our garments - from using more recycled fibres, to encouraging repairs and resale if a piece is no longer giving you joy.

As part of our commitment to reduce textile waste across the industry, we’re proud to introduce Seasalt Circular: a micro collection made using high quality end-of-roll woven cotton fabrics leftover from previous Seasalt seasons.

The project started over a year ago in the Seasalt studios. Our designers and print artists began the process of grouping any leftover prints into carefully matched tonal palettes.
The yarn-dyed checks and florals span several of our most recent collections - letting the Seasalt print handwriting weave a common theme through each palette.

All of our prints are designed in-house already, so we found that lots of our patterns naturally worked together in a pleasing way.

Sarah, Senior Designer

Collections like these help us in our endeavours to close the loop. We’re committed to reducing waste with creative initiatives, and Seasalt Circular is one of many ways we’ll be championing this.

 Rebecca, Sustainability Manager

We worked with our trusted supplier in India, Afflatus, to bring the project to life. Each piece is one-of-a-kind; made using a unique combination of prints and panels chosen by the person making the piece.  There are two styles available: the Brouse Dress and Hope Cottage Blouse. They both have soft gathers and loose silhouettes with plenty of movement, to complement the intricacy of the fabric design.

This collection is a joyful expression of colour and print. Layering complementary tones and shapes together in a way that creates visual interest and gives beautiful fabrics a second chapter in your wardrobe.
