Seasalt Volunteering
GETTING STUCK IN
Seasalt Volunteering was created as a way of giving back to the communities where we live and work.
Employees across our whole business are given an additional day’s paid leave, so they can roll up their sleeves and support a local charity that is important to them. We’re constantly inspired by the variety of ways our teams contribute to our communities and the world around us.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 restrictions meant that we had to put our volunteering programme on hold in 2020. We’ve now reactivated the initiative for 2021, with a focus on supporting the wellbeing of our communities.
Since the volunteering programme launched in 2018, we’ve collectively contributed over 4000 hours – that’s including time given to local environmental, animal and community charities across the UK. Our goal is to hit 20,000 hours by the end of 2025.
HOW WE’RE GIVING BACK
We’ve supported great causes in the communities we touch, working with charities ranging from Age UK to Keep Britain Tidy and everything in between.
Thanks to the hard work of our teams, we have transformed hospital gardens, cleared beaches of rubbish, protected conservation areas, and curated museum exhibitions. And that’s without mentioning helping to rehabilitate injured animals, serve meals to the homeless, redecorate community spaces and much, much more.
Everyone from across the company has got involved, with people from our warehouse teams, design studios and shops coming together.
We can’t wait to share more of our Volunteering journey with you this year.
