March | Coast Paths & Cornish Lanes

A new collection of relaxed shapes, joyful colours and light layers. Made for warmer days ahead.

18/03/24

As spring comes to Cornwall, easy silhouettes are coloured by the season’s neutrals: cloud whites and hazy blues taken straight from a mackerel sky.  Vibrant prints and breezy linen lend a softer touch to workwear-inspired styles. Lightweight knits are key, adding texture to outfits on days when the air is crisp, but the sun is shining.

Our new collection has been designed to be mixed, matched, and changed as quickly as the weather. Have fun playing with different combinations until you land on the one that brightens your day.

Spring is a really exciting time of year down here in Cornwall as all the hedgerows come to life, and we’ve referenced all those pretty pinks and pops of green to really represent that.

From the Sketchbook

In the print studio, our designers have run with the season and embraced all of spring’s textures, shapes and colours. Bouquets of wild campion and sea thrift are picked straight from the coast path. Crowded Cornish hedgerows inspire tumbling prints of honeysuckle and blackthorn blossom, and foxgloves tower in the grass borders of hidden lanes.

This print started as a detailed sketchbook study of flowers, growing wildly in a colourful tangle of leaves, petals and stems.

Our latest prints play with scale, balancing large botanicals with ditsy polka-dot petals. Contrasting base colours add depth and dimension, and gestural mark-making gives florals a contemporary feel. They bloom on quality summertime staples, brought to life in a palette of colour designed to inspire artful dressing.

These foxgloves were sketched using fine line pens to recreate the texture of a linocut print.

This collection is a true celebration of springtime dressing. On bright, breezy mornings, we find ourselves reaching for easy-to-layer outfits. Quality basics and well-loved denim are essential, but sun dresses and organic cotton knits add excitement and optimism to the season.

Try paring florals back with fresh neutrals, like chalk white or ecru. Give your wardrobe a dose of dopamine by layering vibrant colours to make impactful combinations. Or make a monochrome style statement with linen co-ords in sun drenched, garment-dyed shades.
