Between The Lines. Our Charity Sailor Shirt is Back

In January 2021 we began our three-year partnership with Mind, committing to donating £100,000 per year to support the charity in their fight for mental health.

In October 2022, we released a limited-edition run of our first Between The Lines charity Sailor Shirts for Mind. All profits went to the charity and, with your support, we raised over £45,000 through shirt sales alone.

This year, Between The Lines is back with a new limited-edition Sailor Shirt – this time in our new Mini Cornish Stripe. The shirt will be available online and in selected shops from World Mental Health Day, 10th October 2024. All profits will be donated specifically to support the expansion of Mind’s Infoline and legal line, which are experiencing increasing numbers of calls year on year. The donations will help Mind answer the phone to more people who need them.

Reaching out is so incredibly important but sometimes it can be hard opening up to your friends and family. I didn’t want to burden them and was worried they wouldn’t understand how I was feeling, which is why Mind’s Infoline is so important as a dedicated service.

Mind's Infoline gives callers vital information on mental health problems, treatment options, advocacy services and where to find support locally, as well as the option to speak with a welfare advisor. At Seasalt, we share Mind’s belief that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone, and we’re glad we can help by supporting this vital service.

Knowing where or how to get help can feel daunting at first and many people often don’t know what support is available to them. We can help people understand their options and signpost them to the services that are right for them.

The Infoline a offers a safe space for people who need support and don’t know where else to turn. Caller India told us that talking to Mind had been a lifeline. “Picking up the phone when you’re in a really bad place and being able to talk to someone… it’s everything.”

Taking that first step and making the call isn’t easy. Both India and Infoline advisor Lucy emphasised that there’s never any judgement, and you can call about any mental health concern or for advice on helping a loved one. “No two people are the same or are going through the same things”, Lucy told us. “Every call is different.”

The important thing is that help is there when you need it. Mind relies on support and donations to provide its essential services. We’re so pleased that with your help we’re able to support this vital charity. Thank you to all of you who’ve supported Mind through your Seasalt purchases.

Our Seasalt colleague, Dean, sums it up perfectly.

"We all struggle with different things in life; the best bit of advice I would give is to talk to someone about it."

 If you’re struggling, you're not alone – reach out to Mind's Infoline on 0300 1233 393.
