Warehouse Assistant - AM

Our head offices and distribution centre are situated on the beautiful Cornish coast and we now have an exciting opportunity for talented Warehouse Assistants to join the Seasalt warehouse team situated in Redruth.

Within this role you will be responsible for the efficient picking and packing of orders/replenishment requests, assist in any warehouse operation required to meet dispatch targets and ensure all tasks are effectively carried out and completed on time.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a fast paced company where our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

Shifts will be 6:00am-14:00pm either between Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday- Saturday. The hourly rate of pay is £10.90 per hour. 

You'll help us by:

  • Picking stock for despatch through our Retail, Online and Wholesale channels making sure to be in line with department target picking times
  • Checking picked stock for errors before despatch
  • Assisting in unloading and checking in new deliveries
  • Checking and despatching online orders, ensuring accuracy and speedy delivery to our customers
  • Moving and condensing stock to maximise space and increase efficiency
  • Replenishment of stock from bulk locations to pick face
  • Receiving, checking and processing online returns

The skills you'll be sharing with the team;

We are looking for someone that has a keen eye for detail and is an excellent communicator. Working to tight deadlines and being in a faced paced team environment is essential to this role. Experience of working in a warehouse environment, or similar, would be preferred.

We are looking for someone with good planning and organisational skills, and your ability to manage your own tasks and make decisions would be advantageous. If you are self-motivated, enjoy using your own initiative and enjoy working as part of a team, this is the role for you.

          Stock Movements/Accuracy Co-ordinator

With our customers at the heart of everything we do, we are committed to growing responsibly, and as part of that growth we now have an opportunity for a Stock Movements and Accuracy Co-ordinator to join us in our Distribution Centre situated on Cardrew Industrial Estate in Redruth, Cornwall.

          Reporting to the Stock Manager, the Stock Movements and Accuracy Coordinator will lead a team of Stock Control Assistants and will be responsible for maintaining a high level of stock accuracy during counting and stock movements, with a focus on minimising inaccuracies to enhance the customer experience and optimise warehouse productivity.

          The role will oversee all outbound stock movements, and work collaboratively with managers across our Distribution Centre to improve stock accuracy across all sites.

          Please note this is a permanent position on our PM shift, working 13:30 – 22:00 Monday-Friday.

          You’ll help us by:

          • Co-ordinating daily stock control workload including the main tasks of replenishment and cycle counting.
          • Working with the DC/Logistics leadership team to identify ways of motivating the team, ensuring praise and recognition where due is celebrated and encouraged.
          • Maintaining the launch aisle to ensure stock it is cleared down to make room for new launch stock and communicating with the branch merchandising team when item coverage isn’t set.
          • Reporting unjustified pick-fails generated by pickers to the appropriate managers.
          • Identifying common causes of inaccuracy and working with the management team to amend warehouse processes to prevent their reoccurrence.
          • Monitoring stock status throughout the DC to ensure the stock feed for online and master planning is correct.
          • Taking ownership for the Health and safety of your teams and the DC environment in accordance with legislation and Seasalt policies.

           The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:

          Highly organised, you’ll ensure all stock movements within the DC are completed in an efficient manner according to standard operating procedures, and ensure efficiency and continuity across all stock movements and cycle counts.

           

          An excellent team player, you’ll train and lead a successful, proactive team, driving performance and development by ensuring KPI’s and staffing levels are met to increase productivity.

           

          You’ll have knowledge of Microsoft AX and will be able to work on projects across the business.
